He received another Tuesday.

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins is ranked first yet again.

But it’s Jonathan Huberdeau’s name that screams loudest in April’s ranking for the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.

Ranked sixth just a month ago, Huberdeau’s draft stock has skyrocketed after an impressive run in the first round of the QMJHL playoffs has complimented an already impressive season which saw the Saint John Sea Dogs standout eclipse the 100-point plateau. Continue reading

The Edmonton Oilers lost all season.

And in a season of lows, the City of Champions got one very important high. The first overall pick in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.

While New Jersey won the 2011 draft lottery, the Devils could only move up a maximum of four spots, leaving Edmonton with the first pick in the draft for the second consecutive year.  Continue reading
