From Aaron Vickers:

The Vancouver Canucks have picked Oshawa Generals forward Nick Jensen with the 29th pick of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.

The six-foot-two, 185-pound Jensen plays a significant power game and has no hesitation to drive into the dirty areas with the puck to create scoring chances. There isn’t a shy bone in Jensen’s body when it comes to going to the front of the net or in the corners to create action. Needless to say, the native of Denmark plays with a high level of intensity, though needs to work on his ability to do so consistently.

Incredibly, Jensen’s talents aren’t limited to his power game, which his 29 goals and 58 points can attest to. Jensen has the ability to set up the play from the perimeter and the smarts to ensure that play develops.

Despite his size and grit, though, Jensen can still feel overpowered physically, which can make him invisible on the physical side of things. He needs to establish himself as a consistent force with his hitting before being considered a potential power forward down the road.
