Edmonton Oilers hockey club announced that they have sent forward Travis Ewanyk back to the Edmonton Oil Kings of the WHL.
The St. Albert, Alberta native had 16 goals and 27 points last season for the Oil Kings but had no points in Edmonton`s WHL Playoff run as they were swept in the first round of the 2011 playoffs. Continue reading

He’s already lived it twice.
At the age of 16, the North Vancouver, BC. native watched his older brother Max be selected 64th overall by the Calgary Flames at the 2010 NHL Entry Draft in Los Angeles. This year in Minnesota, Reinhart witnessed four Edmonton Oil Kings teammates be selected in June. Continue reading

When Canada takes to the ice in Germany to capture their first Under-18 Championship since 2008, they’ll do it without Myles Bell.
Bell, who donned the Canadian jersey at the Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament last summer, suffered an injury in mid-March that has left him unable patrol Canada’s blueline in just over a week. The Pats defenseman, ranked in the first round for the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, didn’t suit up for Regina in the club’s final games of the season after injuring his leg in a March 11th game against the Moose Jaw Warriors.
